All of our Poodle and Doodle puppies come with a one-year health guarantee that covers serious genetic and/or congenital defects.

Yes! However, passing health testing alone does not mean that a dog will move forward in the Rendezvous-Doodles program to procreate. The temperament and beauty of the dog will also be evaluated along with correct structure. The total package is mandatory at Karlas Pets. Our process is a bit arduous and some might consider it tedious or ridiculous but we feel as though we have a great responsibility as breeders. We have chosen not to comprise on our values and every litter we breed starts with the goal to retain a puppy for our own stock.

We keep in touch with our puppy Families via our private FB support group and remain a resource and sounding board for our clients. Litters are evaluated as they grow and information that we receive from the new generation and our families is added to our bank of knowledge further assisting our breeding decisions in the future.

Yes, but not for breeding dogs- We are a home based breeding operation and we utilize guardian homes. Our babies are raised in our homes with our family. All of our breeding dogs have forever homes.  We “borrow” them for whelping. Pups are born in our beds and raised in our homes-or Foster homes. We do not believe in the long term kenneling of our canine companions. The downside to families that want to come and visit out “Kennel” is you can’t. Our love for our dogs and need for them to be happy out weighs our need to please you in this respect.  You will meet Moms & Dads the day you come home with your pup. Your pup will go home from our Facility, as the grooming Salon is there and Puppy Room for Gotcha day.  

After a conversation with you, and you are on a waitlist with an approved application. You will put a deposit (down payment) to reserve your puppy. If you are interested in a specialty color or a specific breeding this will help ensure that you get the puppy you are looking for. All deposits/down payments are non-refundable but may be transferred to another puppy/breeding within a one year period of when the deposit is received. Your deposit is your commitment to work with us, so please stop looking:-) 

Our selection process is based on where you are on the waitlist. Gotcha Day is a one day process, and Families are delegated a time to meet & choose from the pups available to them. Our puppies are reserved by a down payment with the remainder paid after you have chosen. Many of our clients look for specific personalities and coat or colors so we keep this in mind when we help assist our clients in choosing a puppy. If you have a specific anything in mind it is best to put a down payment down early enough to be higher on a waitlist to ensure that you get the puppy that you desire.

We take elements of various different puppy socialization methods to produce a very well socialized and balanced puppy. Our puppies are very used to vacuums, children, neighborhood noises, people of all colors and sizes etc. Because these pups are raised in our homes, they are just coming from our house to your house!  It is up to you to continue with this socialization process- as it can make or break an adult dog. Rest assured your puppy has been loved since the day it was born.

On Gotcha Day you will come to us. Because most of our pups go to Families in the New England region and Naples, Florida. You will know what day and time- at least 6 weeks in advance for planning & travel purposes. Some of our clients are from afar. In this case we ask that you fly to come get your pup, or hire a Pet Nanny to do this for you. The rates vary based on where the puppy is going and which airline/nanny you are using. 

Since we are not a commercial facility and we have family raised puppies we want our homes to remain homes, remembering other people live with us & we must be respectful of that. The health and well being of our puppies is our utmost concern and because of this we do not allow visitors in the home. Puppies that are visited before 8 weeks old are not fully vaccinated prior and susceptible to viruses, specifically parvovirus. Once you have brought your puppy home we recommend that you do not take the puppy to large public places where other dogs have been (ie pet supermarkets, dog parks etc). We also recommend NOT wearing shoes inside of your home until the dog is fully vaccinated as it is an easy way to stay safe by removing those pathogens from the shoes at the front door.

If you live in the city, we recommend that you do all of your pre-puppy shopping with us. To be picked up on GOTCHA day, or on Amazon or Chewy online and not step foot in a brick and mortar pet store.

We specialize in apricots and reds, chocolates, parti, phantom, tricolor, we have Poodles and Doodles available at various times in the year depending on our breeding schedule for the year.

We breed Goldendoodles, Australian Labradoodles, Moyen Poodles, Australian Goldendoodles AKA Double Doodles and Bernedoodles of all sizes and offer a variety of color and coat combinations.

As a relatively small scale breeder, we do not have puppies available at all times. We focus on having Families on our waiting lists, before the breedings take place. We want all of our pups to have great families waiting for them when they arrive into this world. You can call to check, last minute-sometimes it happens, but not too often:-) Please plan ahead:-) 

We do not offer breeding rights, to most. If a breeder comes along that works the way I do- meaning the breeding dog has parental health testing &  their household pet, then yes , I will consider it. Our Doodle & Poodle pet  puppies are sold without registration papers and all of our puppies (Poodles or Doodles) are sold on strict non-breeding agreements.

At Karlas Pets, we take a huge responsibility in creating the best possible dogs we can by selecting the potential parent dogs with rigorous guidelines and standards. Temperament, structure, health and beauty should not be mutually exclusive and unless we feel a dog excels in all of these departments the dog will not be added to the program. We place a high importance on trying to reproduce the best specimen of a Doodle & Poodle in all facets. You can purchase a Poodle or Doodle anywhere but we strive to be excellent in all regards- setting our program and our dogs apart. Yes, we do take down payments on puppies that are not yet born/bred . This helps you be on a waitlist earlier, and higher on the list as it truly is “first come first serve” The Families that wait until last minute will be lower on those lists. We ask that you be flexible with us as Mother Nature truly dictates heat cycles:-)
